On the top floor, the fully fitted kitchen has a gas oven, grill and gas hob, a microwave, washing machine and fridge (with freezer compartment) and other appliances. From the kitchen there are views over Skiddaw. Within the kitchen there is also a dining area with a large farmhouse table and seating for six.

Also on the top floor is the spacious and bright living room with a colour television, video and stereo. There are two comfortable sofas (one 7 feet long!) and a wooden pool table. There is a also a reading corner and a good selection of books, videos and board games. There are tremendous views from each of the three windows - firstly over the town square with the famous Moot Hall and the Lakeland fells in the background (Walla Crag, Falcons crag ad Clough head). The second window looks over towards Cat Bells and the velux window has a magnificent view of Skiddaw.

Finally, the apartment has a large airing cupboard to dry wet clothes (from the washing machine or the weather!) and a separate toilet for guests. The property is centrally heated throughout and all windows are double glazed. There is also an integrated fire alarm system within the property for your peace of mind.

The property sits above Bookends bookshop which is a locally owned business selling a wide variety of books and specialising in the Lake District. They can provide you with walking books, maps, cards and much more. Visitors to Ashness apartment also have the use of a parking permit that allows you to park in many of the towns car parks.
